Nightwood Studio in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

This was our second commercial live-work project; built out to include living and event space as well as the Nightwood workshop. Ry was able to reincorporate salvaged elements from the previous studio buildout and expand public areas to accommodate larger groups. Initially it was a beautiful wide open space that we had to section off to include the workshop but the details were in dire need of tlc. Over the 5 years in the space, we played around with the finishes, but the game changers were refinishing the floors and the kitchen update that entailed opening up a room to extend it and raising the lofted floor above it.
